Interesting Animal Studies Could Bring Hope to Americans Currently Suffering With Sickness & Diseases
The Pottenger Cat Experiments
The cats that were feed the uncooked raw, living foods produced Healthy Kittens year after year with No ill Health or Premature Deaths. But the cats fed the same food, only cooked, developed Heart Disease, Cancer, Kidney & Thyroid Diesease, Pneumonia, Paralysis, Loss of Teeth, Arthritis, Birthing Difficulties, Diminished Sexual Interest, Diarrhea, Irritability, Liver Problems, & Osteoporosis, (the same diseases common in our American cooked-food culture).
The 1st Generation of kittens from cats fed cooked food were Sick & Abnormal, the 2nd Generation were often born Diseased or Dead, & by the 3rd generation, the Mothers were Sterile!
published in the 1946 American Journal of Orthodontics & Oral Surgery
The Great American Rat Experiment:
Raw Food vs the Cooked American Diet
“A 2nd companion group of rats were fed a diet comparable to that of the average American & included White Bread, Cooked Foods, Meats, Milk, Salt, Soft Drinks, Candies, Cakes, Vitamins & Other Supplements, Medicines for their ailments, etc. During their lifetime these rats became Fat & from the earliest age, contracted most of the diseases of modern American society including Colds, Fever, Pnemonia, Poor Vision, Cataracts, Heart Disease, Arthritis, Cancer & many more.
“Most of this group died prematurely at ealy ages but during their lifetime most of them were Vicious, Snarling Beasts, Fighting with one another, Stealing one another’s food & attempting to Kill each other. They had to be kept apart to prevent totaL destruction of the entire group. Their offspring were all sick & exhibited the same general characteristics as the parents.
“As this group of rats died one by one or in epidemics or various diseases, autopsies were performed revealing extensive degenerative conditions in every part of their bodies. All Organs, Gland & Tissues, were affected as were the Skin, Hair, Blood & Nervous System. They were all truly total physical & nervous wrecks. The same conditions existed in the few which survived the full duration of the experiment.
“A 3rd companion group of rats was fed the same diet as the 2nd group to an age equivalent to about 40 years in humans. They displayed the same general symptons of the 2nd group - being Sick & Vicious so that they had to be separated to prevent them from Killing each other & Stealing one another’s food.
“At the end of this initial period all rats in this group were placed on a strict fast, with only water to drink for a period of several days. Then they recieved the Natural (Raw) Diet of the 1st group of rats. Theis diet was alternated with periods of fasting & within 1 month the behavioral pattern had changed completely so that the now Docile, Affectionate, Playful Creatures were once again able to live together in a harmonious society & from this point on never suffered any illness.
“Several rats werre put to death & autopsied at the end of the initial period revealing the same general deterioration as that exhibited in the 2nd group of rats. However, the ramaining rats lived out the full duation of the experiment, to the equivalent of 80 years in humans, & when they were autopsied ther were no signs of aging of deterioration of disease - just as those in the 1st group. The obvious disease, degeneration & deterioration of the body parts evident in the 1st half of life had been completely reversed & excellent health restored.
“The same principles apply to human life as there is only 1 Truth. This it may be concluded that sick people may be restored to health simply by choosing the Proper Diet, Fasting, & Observing the Other Rules of Health. There is no mystery. There is no external force that will help - all healing being accomplished within the body by the body in accordance with the Laws of Organic Life & Health.

Fluoridation, Cancer: Did Researchers Ask The Right Questions?
Questions about fluoridation have returned with renewed vigor because of allegations of scientific misconduct against a prominent researcher at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The Environmental Working Group, an advocacy organization in Washington, charged last month that Chester Douglass misrepresented an unpublished study about bone cancer and fluoridated tap water. In written testimony to the National Research Council last year, Dr. Douglass said he had found no evidence that fluoridation increased risk of osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. But a 2001 study he cited, and oversaw, found that boys who drink fluoridated water have a greater risk of developing the disease. (Dr. Douglass did not respond to requests for comment.)
More interesting than what Dr. Douglass said or didn't say, however, is the study he swept under the rug. It was conducted by one of his doctoral students, Elise Bassin. She started with the same raw data as her mentor -- 139 people with osteosarcoma and 280 healthy "controls" -- but saw a way to improve on it. Since most of the 400 people diagnosed in the U.S. each year with osteosarcoma are kids, and since any ill effect of fluoride would likely come when bones are growing most quickly, she focused on the 91 patients who were under 20.
Her result: Among boys drinking water with 30% to 99% of the fluoride levels recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the risk of osteosarcoma was estimated to be five times as great as among boys drinking nonfluoridated water. At 100% or more, the risk was an estimated seven times as high. The association was greatest for boys six to eight.

Indian Chief Headdress War Bonnet - How to Guide with Basic Directions
Materials Needed:
30 Imitation Eagle Feathers (15 Left, 15 Right)
Soft Fluffy Feathers - Large Marabou Work Good
Strip of Thin Leather, Cloth, or Felt
Thread, String, or Dental Floss
Shoe or Other Strong Type Glue
Horse Tail Hair or Similar
Red Flannel
Eagle Feather Preparation:
2" Above Stem Bottom Place Several Small Feathers (Fluff Facing UpTowards the Top) Around Stem to Make Ruff. Wrap Thread Around Stems for a 1/2 - 1" & Tie Off. Glue if Needed.
If Possible, Cut Away 1/2 of the Eagle Quill Bottom End for 1 1/2". Bend this 1 1/2" End Up into the Hole of the Quill End to Make a Small Loop or You can Skip this Step & Instead Wrap the Quill End With a 4 x 1/8" Piece of Leather, Cloth or Felt Folded Over the End (This Will be Your Quill End Loop). Wrap the Felt With Thread for the Length of 2" & Tie Off. Again Glue if Needed.
If Desired, You Can Now Add a Few Small Feathers to Make a Fluff at the Eagle Feathers, by Gluing Them to the Underside. They Should Stick Out Enough to be Seen from the Front 1-2 Inches. Her is Where You Would Add the Thin Tuft of Horse Hair to the End of the Eagle Feather. This Should be Attached on the Mid Section of the Underneath Side of the Feather by Carefully Wraping & Tying. Try to Not Disturb the Mid Section of the Eagle Feather to Much. The Tuft can be Dyed (Try Markers) & Extend Up Above the Eagle Feather Tip at Least a Few Inches.
Repeat the Above Directions for All 30 Eagle Feathers.
Headband Directions:
Make a Strip of Leather, Heavy Cloth or Felt 23" x 2 1/2" Sizing it to Fit Around Your Head. Sew Ends Together to Make a Headband. Divide the Band into 30 Even Spaces Keeping a Focus on the Imaginary Middle Line. Mark off 2 Dots on Both Sides of the Dividing Line for Each of the 30 Spaces. Poke 60 Holes into the Headband. These Will be Used to Lace the Feathers Onto the Headband & Should not be too Close to the Edge. It's Important that You Leave a Space Below the Feather Tips for the Beaded Row to Fit.
Lay the 30 Eagle Feather in a Row, Choosing the Largest & Nicest for the Front Center. Be Sure to Lay Out the Left Feathers to the Left Side & Right Feathers to the Right. Switch Them Around Until You Have the Best Look. Remember, the Feathers Farthest Left or Right Will be in the Back of the Headdress.
Final Instructions:
Hold the Headband Strip, & Attach the Feathers in an Upside Down Hanging Fashion, if Possible While the Prepared Eagle Feathers are Strung into the Band. Begin at the Center Front by Putting the Lace or String in Through Your 1st Hole. Continue the String Through the Quill End Loop of the Feather, then Back through the Next Hole, Adding the 15 Feathers to the Left Side, & Then the 15 Feathers to the Right Being Sure to Work From the Center for the Right Side. Use the 2nd Row of Holes to Lace in a Reinforcement Line Being Sure to Line Up the Holes so The Feathers are in a Straight Position.
The Next Part is the Hardest. Each Feather Needs to be Spaced Evenly so That they Stand Nice & Tall Bowing Out Slightly Towards the Top. You Must Pass a Needle & Thread Through the Quill About Half Way Up the Length of the Eagle Feather. It Should be Done on the Inside of the War Bonnet so that it Doesn't Show on the Front. If You Pre-Poke the Quills With a Needle 1st, Fishing Line May be Used. Thread Through all Feathers & Loosely Tie at the Back. Evenly Spread the Feathers Around to form the Traditional Indian Chief Headdress Look that Should Be Not More Then a 20" Diameter.
Now Add a Beaded Band, Ribbon or Similar Type Decoration to the Front of the Headband With Thread or Glue. This Should Extend Around to the Sides but Not All the Way Around to the Back
Attach 2 Stiff Leather Circles (Ear Targets) to the Headband in Front of Where You Would See the Ears from the Front but not Over Them. Traditionally, these Circles are Larger then the Width of the Headband.
Make 2 Ear Plumes Out of Material Strips, Fake Fur, or Long Feathers Using Beads or Wraping & Lacing Over the Ends to Make a Tassel. Attach These to the Center of the Target Circles by Sewing. These Should Hang Freely.
Notes: Although Eagle Feathers are Traditional, Dyed Turkey Feathers can be Used as Well. Color Combinations are Your Preference & You can Get Ideas by Doing an Image Search on Google. Also, the Indian Chief War Bonnet Below does not Include the Marabou Fluffs.

Ostrich Feather Wedding Centerpieces - How to Choose Guide - Tips, Ideas, & Advice
How Many Ostrich Feathers Should I Order for Each Vase?
Should They All be the Same Length or in Different Sizes?
I'm Having Trouble Finding a Good Source for Ostrich Feathers?
Which Style of Ostrich Feathers Look the Prettiest, Drabs or Femina?
For Brides Asking the Tough Questions, I'm Here to Help!
The 1st Decision & Probably the Easiest Question to Answer is Color? Most Brides Want White! The 2nd Question is How Many Ostrich Feathers do I Need for Each Centerpiece? Again, this is a Preference Question & the Bride Needs to Think this Out. These Days, the Average Ostrich Feather Centerpiece is About 13 Feathers. Depending on the Feather Style & Size,
this Number can Be More or Less.
We Sell Ostrich Feathers to Brides Regularly so We've Seen Every Style, Color, & Size. My Personal Suggestion...Go for the Femina if You can Afford it. These are the Widest & Most Fluffy. If White Ostrich Feathers are What You Want, the Femina Ostrich Feathers are the Purest of the White.
If Budget Just Doesn't Allow the Extra Cost, the Ostrich Drab Feathers are a Good 2nd Choice. Affordability Wise, these are the Best. Ostrich Drabs are Still Fairly Wide & Uniform & Include More Feathers per Pound. The Main Difference is that Ostrich Drabs have a Slightly Darker Main Stem Very Similar to a Light Beige. This is really No Problem & Many Brides Use These for Their Wedding Receptions & Absolutely Love Them.
Lastly, I Would Like to Suggest an Option for Brides where Cost is the Decidng Factor. This One Idea has Helped many a Bride.. .After the Wedding, Put a Few Aside for Keepsakes...& Sell the Rest. There is Almost Always a Friend or Relative at the Wedding that will be Planning Their Own Wedding Soon & Once they See How Beautiful These Looked at Your Wedding, Nothing Else Will Compare.
For Now at Least, Ostrich Feather Wedding Centerpieces are Hot & Everyone Wants Them so the Opportunity to collect Them Up Neatly & Resell Them is in Your Favor. With the Advent of Ebay, You Should Have No Problem Recouping at Least a Portion of You Initial Investment & the Next Bride Will Only Thank You for Making Her Wedding Centerpieces More Affordable too.
Brides & Wedding Planners Love Our Feathers!

Marabou Feather Tree (Easy)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
This an Easy Craft Project for Small Children & the Options are Endless in How the Final Look Will be. Use Whatever Color & Style Small Feather that You Prefer. (Turkey Marabou Work Well)
Begin by Making a Cone Shaped Base. This Can be Done With a Stiffer Paper & Staples or Glue or if You Want to Skip this Step, Buy a Styrofoam Cone. This Tree Can be Any Size Desired.
Use a Glue Gun or Other Type Glue to Begin Adding Feathers Close Together to the Base in Rows Proceeding Up to the Next Row as Each One is Finished. Feathers Should be Glued at the Stem in an Upside Down Fashion with the Natural Curve of the Feather Facing Down & Out. This Will give Your Tree a Fluffy Look Similar to the Branckes of a Regular Tree. Feather Sizes can Be Stagered to Give a More Natural Look or Exactly the Same. Pine Cone Feather Tree - Easy
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Using the Instructions Above, a Feather Chritmas Tree can Also be Made Using a Large Flat Bottomed Pine Cone. Just Glue as Many Feathers as to Each Tip of the Pine Cone Working From the Bottom to the Top.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Old Fashioned Christmas Feather Tree (Hardest)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Basic Concept Goes Like This. You Need the Following:
Main Stem or Trunk which can be Made from a Wooden Dowel with or without Drilled Branch Holes or Heavy Guage Wire. Either Will Work but it is Suggested that Wooded Dowels be Used for Taller Trees.
Branches Made of Wire Stems Covered With Feathers Continuously Wrapped Along the Entire Length. Branches Should be in Several Lengths Using the Larger Ones as You Move to the Bottom of the Tree, Again Similar to the Fake Christmas Tree Layout. Each Section of the Tree Should Have a Few or Many Branches of Similar Size Depending on the Fullness of the Tree Desired.
A Heavy Base Made of a Chuck of Wood or Heavy Flower Pot filled With Concrete, Plaster of Paris, or Stones Strong Enough to Support Your Christmas Feather Tree.
General Supplies:
Goose Biot Feathers
Gauge Wire (18-24 Guage is Suggested)
Wooden Dowel
Clay Pot filled with Cement, Plaster, or Stones
Floral Tape
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Other Tacky Craft Glue
Brown Crepe Paper Streamer
Optional:
Holly Berries, Beads, or Other Craft Item for Branch Ends.
Directions:
Use of Goose Biot Feathers are Traditional but Could be Substituted With Other Feather Styles that have a Flexible Stem Such as Turkey Marabou.
1st Decide How Tall You Would Like Your Christmas Tree to Be & Cut the 18-Gauge Wire or Dowel for the Center Stem to the Length Desired.
2nd Decide How Many Branches You Want to Have for Each Row. Old Fashioned Feather Trees have 3 or 4 Branches on Each Tier, & 5 or More on the Bottom of Taller Trees. Personal Preference is Key Here. Drawing Your Tree on Paper May be Very Helpful in Determining What Works for You. Each Branch Should Have a 5" Unwraped End which will be Wrapped Around the Tree Trunk Later. In Other Words, a 2" Branch Should be Made with a Wire that is 7" Long. Each Row Should be Approx. 2" Longer or More as You Proceed to the Bottom of the Tree. Also Remember to Feather the Top Few Inches of Your Trunk Stem.
Instructions for Making Branches:
If You are Including a Holly Berry at the Tip of Each Branch, Place Your Berry Wire Along Side of Your Wire & Wrap Both Together With Floral Tape. You can Do this With Any Type of Bead or Decoration as Long as it is Set on a Wire 1st & Floral Taped On. Do this for Every Branch & The Trunk Top. Use Glue on Floral Tape End if Desired.
Floral Tape the Tip (Thinner End) of the Feather to the Branch Next to the Holly Berry & Tack Glue. The Long End of the Feather Should be Hanging off Along Side of the Berry. This Will Seem Backwards but You are Basically Tucking the Feather Tip in Under the Rest of the Feather that Will Wrap Around the Wire. Now You Can Begin Wrapping the Feather Around the Branch by Starting to Wind the Feather Right Next to the Holly Berry in a Somewhat Tight & Close Manner. Try not to Leave any Spaces or Gaps as You Continue to Wrap the Feather in the Direction of the Other End. An Average Feather will Only Cover 1" or so of the Branch. Be Sure to Floral Tape the End Also Catching the Next Feather in Under the Tape as Done Previously. Secure the Final Feather with Floral Tape & Tack with Glue if Necessary Remembering to Leave a 5" Unwrapped Wire End.
Tree Assembly:
Layout Your Trunk Stem Placing the Branches Alongside Keeping Them Evenly Spaced from Row to Row. Mark Where the Branches Should Connect on the Stem. Now Place the Unbent Highest Branches Along the Stem (Evenly Spaced Around Stem) Wrap a Length of 12" Plus Wire Around the Stem & Continue to Wire in a Spiraling Down Fashion to be Sure & Catch the Entire 5" Excess of the Section of Unfeathered Wire.
You Can Now Add a Layer of Brown Crepe Paper Starting Just Below the Branches & Again Spiraling Down Over the Wired Trunk. Continue to Add the Remaining Rows of Branches & Crepe Paper till Your Christmas Feather Tree is Completed. Be Sure to Tack Glue as Needed.
If Using a Clay Pot With Cement, Mix Enough Cement to Fill it Almost to the Top. Place the Truck of Your Tree Into the Cement While Still Wet & Brace or Hold as Needed. Another Option is to Poke Something into the Cement Making a Hole Big Enough for the Trunk to be Added Later. Wood Blocks can be Drilled Accordingly.
Now & Finally...the Fun Part, Bend the Branches Down to Reflect that Old Fashioned Heirloom Feather Christmas Tree Style!
Important Note: Feel Free to Do a Sample Branch or Smaller Sample Tree Just to Get a Feel for This Project & Don't be Afraid to Use Glue or Longer Wires Since These can be Cut Later.

The Real Survivor - A TV Show Idea for the Next Series
Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 4 kids each for six weeks. Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes. There is no fast food. Each man must take care of his 4 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of "pretend" bills with not enough money. In addition...each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.
Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment, and an appointment for a haircut. He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function. Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keep it presentable at all times. The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done. There is only one TV between them.
Each father will be required to know all of the words to every stupid song that comes on TV and the name of each and every repulsive character on cartoons. The men must daily: shave their legs and underarms, and wear makeup which they will apply themselves either while driving or making four lunches. They must adorn themselves with jewelry, wear uncomfortable, yet stylish shoes, keep their nails polished and eyebrows groomed. During one of the six weeks, they will have to endure severe stomach cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but must never complain or slow down from other duties.
They must attend weekly PTA meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting. He will need to pray with the children each night, bathe them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair each morning by 7:00. A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child's birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor's name. Also the child's weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor. Also each child's favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up.
They must clean up after their sick children at 3:00 a.m. and then spend the remainder of the day tending to that child and waiting on them hand and foot until they are better. Each man will have to make an Indian hut model with six toothpicks, a tortilla and one marker; and get a 4 year old to eat a serving of peas. The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if...he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moments notice. If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years...eventually earning the right to be called Mother!

Being Stopped by Police - 2 Important Safety Tips
1 - Use Your Cell Phone to Call *677 to tell the Police Dispatcher that You are Being Stopped & he will Verify that this is a Real Police Officer.
2 - Otherwise, if in a Rural Deserted Type Area, Especially at Night, Put on Flashers & Drive to the Nearest Public Place. Real Police Know You Need to Stay Safe & will Understand.
Don't Allow Yourself to be Tricked into being a Victim as Criminals Often Pretend to be Police to Commit an Act of Violence Against the Unsuspecting.
PS. Calling *677 Would Probably Also be a Good Idea if an Officer Pays a Surprise Visit to Your Home.

A Little Car Accident Humor
After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, "So you're a man. That's interesting. I'm a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There's nothing left, but we're unhurt. This must be a sign from God that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days".
Flattered, the man replies, "Oh yes, I agree with you completely, this must be a sign from God!"
The woman continues, "And look at this, here's another miracle. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn't break. Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune." Then she hands the bottle to the man.
The man nods his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle and then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle and immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.
The man asks, "Aren't you having any?"
The woman replies, "No. I think I'll just wait for the police....."
MORAL OF THE STORY:
Women are clever, evil and not convinced that God is paying attention..

Police Execs Speakout About Terrorism, Gun Control, Drugs
NACOP asserts that the public perception of how police view certain issues is based on media coverage, which is not necessarily accurate. When police chiefs and sheriffs are allowed to respond to poll questions anonymously, the politics may be removed from their answers.
Terrorism: When asked if the United States would be attacked by terrorists within the next year, 86.6 percent said yes. Meanwhile 70 percent of police commanders said they received training and other resources from the federal government to combat terrorism, while only 49.2 percent said their departments participated in terrorism-response simulations.
Homeland Security: When police commanders were asked if they observed more cooperation between federal and local agencies, 69.7 percent said yes. Sixty-seven percent of the respondents stated they found the color-coded threat matrix an effective way of informing the public of terrorist threats. When asked if the process of arming commercial airline pilots is too burdensome, 53.6 percent of the police executives answered yes.
Gun Control: With regard to private citizens owning firearms for sport or self-defense, 93.6 percent of the respondents supported civilian gun-ownership rights. Ninety-six percent of the police chiefs and sheriffs believe criminals obtain firearms from illegal sources and 92.2 percent revealed they hadn't arrested anyone for violation of the so-called "waiting period" laws. When asked if citizens concealed-weapons permits would reduce violent crime, 63.1 percent said yes.
War on Drugs: Forty-one percent of police commanders surveyed said they believe marijuana should be available for medicinal purposes and 68.9 percent said they've seen an increase in the abuse of prescription drugs such as Oxycontin and other Schedule II drugs. Only 22 percent of police commanders believe the war on drugs has been successful, while 28 percent said they favored decriminalization of "soft drugs" such as marijuana.
Police News Coverage: An overwhelming 93.2 percent believe the news media is not fair and balanced in their coverage, while 70.1 percent said they have at least one officer assigned to handle media requests.
Technology: Ninety-four percent of the respondents believe convicted felons should be required to submit DNA samples to be catalogued in a manner similar to that used for fingerprints. Only 29.8 percent said their departments issue tasers to their officers.
Other Topics: With regard to criminal (racial) profiling, 67.3 percent stated they had a written and enforced policy prohibiting such profiling. Only 23 percent of the respondents felt that civilian-review boards are effective in handling citizen complaints against police officers, while 58.7 said their subordinates attended sensitivity training classes.

New NC Car Seat Law - Does it Really Save Lives?
Tell me if I'm wrong, but do booster seats really save lives for children between the ages of 4 - 8 over the traditional car seatbelt?
Or is this just another boost in income for the Car Seat Makers?
Mandating that these Booster Seats be purchased by parents in NC & maybe across the US bothers me because I don't see how raising a child a few inches will make a real difference in protecting them.
Because of this new law, I must purchase 3 more car seats for 3 children who were "previously no longer required" to use them.

Your Favorite Color - What it Says About You?
Red: The color of strength, health, and vitality, Red is often the color chosen by someone outgoing, aggressive, vigorous, and impulsive--or who would like to be! It goes with an ambitious nature but those who choose it can be abrupt at times, determined to get all they can out of life, quick to judge people and take sides. Red people are usually optimistic and can’t stand monotony; they are rather restless and not at all introspective, so they may be unaware of their own shortcomings. They find it hard to be objective and may blame others for any mishaps. Quiet people with a preference for red may feel the need for the warmth, strength and life-giving qualities of the color, or they blanket their true feelings under a sober exterior. Red is usually chosen by those with open and uncomplicated natures, with a zest for life.
Maroon: Harsh experience has probably matured the Maroon person into someone likeable and generous. It is often a favorite color of someone who has been battered by life but has come through. It indicates a well-disciplined Red personality--one who has had difficult experiences and has not come through unmarked but who has grown and matured in the process.
Pink: This color embodies the gentler qualities of Red, symbolizing love and affection without passion. Women who prefer Pink tend to be maternal. Pink desires protection, special treatment, and a sheltered life. Pink people require affection and like to feel loved and secure, perhaps wanting to appear delicate and fragile. Pink people tend to be charming and gentle, if a trifle indefinite.
Orange: This color of luxury and pleasure appeals to the flamboyant and fun-loving person who likes a lively social round. Orange people may be inclined to dramatize a bit, and people notice them, but they are generally good-natured and popular. They can be a little fickle and vacillating, but on the whole they try hard to be agreeable. Orange is the color of youth, strength, fearlessness, curiosity, and restlessness.
Yellow: The color of happiness, wisdom, and imagination, Yellow is chosen by the mentally adventurous, searching for novelty and self-fulfillment. Yellow usually goes with a sunny and shrewd personality, with a good business head and a strong sense of humor. It is the color of intellectuality and all things to do with the mind. Yellow folks are usually clear and precise thinkers who have a good opinion of their own mental capacities and who have lofty ideals. They may at times tend to shun responsibility, preferring freedom of thought and action.
Green: The color of harmony and balance, Green symbolizes hope, renewal, and peace, and is usually liked by the gentle and sincere. Greens are generally frank, community-minded people, fairly sociable but preferring peace at any price. Green people can he too self-effacing, modest, and patient and so may get exploited by others. They are usually refined, civilized, and reputable.
Blue: Soft, soothing, compassionate and caring, Blue is the color of deliberation and introspection, conservatism and duty. Patient, persevering, conscientious, sensitive and self-controlled, Blues like to be admired for their steady character and wisdom. They are faithful, but are often worriers with somewhat inflexible beliefs and can be too cautious, and suspicious of flamboyant behavior.
Blue-Green: Exacting, discriminating, poised and attractive, the Blue-Green person tends to be sensitive, intellectual and refined, persevering and stable if rather detached. Blue-Greens have excellent taste, and are usually courteous and charming, capable but often refusing help or guidance.
Turquoise: Complex, imaginative, and original, Turquoise people drive themselves hard and may be in a state of turmoil under their outwardly cool exterior.
Lavender: This is often chosen by a person who lives “on a higher plane”, who never notices anything sordid and who is always impeccably and beautifully dressed. Lavender people may be on a continual quest for culture and the refined things of life, high and noble causes but without the necessity of getting their hands dirty. A Lavender person is usually creative, charming, witty and civilized.
Purple: Purples are highly individual, fastidious, witty, and sensitive, with a strong desire to be unique and different. Temperamental, expansive and artistic, a Purple person may become aloof and sarcastic when misunderstood. If you chose Purple, you tend to be unconventional, tolerant, and dignified, likely to achieve positions of authority.
Brown: A Brown person has stamina and patience, tending to be very solid and substantial, conscientious, dependable, steady, and conservative. Browns are not impulsive, and may be inarticulate and tactless but they love responsibility and are reliable and kindly. If you chose Brown, watch out for a tendency to be obstinate and inflexible.
Gray: The color of caution and compromise, diligent Grays search for composure and peace and often work hard without reward. Older Grays like life to run on an even keel with few ups and downs. Young Grays may be withdrawing from life and suppressing their personalities. Grays often have good business ability and tend to over-work.
Black: Dignified and impressive without being showy, Black people want to give the appearance of mystery, but their preference may also indicate a suppression of desires and worldly aims, suggesting hidden depths and inner longings.
